These Terms & Conditions govern the plumbing services provided by Bayside Plumber (part of the Flowsafe Group), ABN 19 627 354 161, Licence No. 115677 ("we", "us", "our") to you, the customer. By booking or accepting our services, you agree to these terms. They should be read together with our privacy policy.

1. About these terms

These terms apply to every job we quote and carry out. Where a specific written agreement covers your job, that agreement prevails to the extent of any inconsistency.

2. Quotes and pricing

We provide upfront fixed pricing. After a free inspection we give you a fixed price for the agreed scope of work, which you approve before we begin. Key points:

Any prices shown on our website (including "from" prices) are indicative guidance only and are not a quote or an offer.
A binding price is the fixed price we give you for your specific job after inspection.
Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
If work outside the agreed scope is required, for example a hidden fault uncovered once we open a wall or excavate, we will stop and provide a revised price for your approval before proceeding.
Our call-out fee is $0. You are not charged for us attending to inspect and quote.

3. Payment

Payment is due on completion of the work unless we agree otherwise in writing.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, bank transfer, Afterpay and Brighte interest-free plans (finance subject to provider approval).
Finance is provided by third parties (Brighte, Afterpay) under their terms; we are not a credit provider. See our payment plans page.
Title to any parts or materials supplied remains with us until payment is received in full.
Overdue accounts may incur reasonable recovery costs as permitted by law.

4. Warranties and lifetime labour guarantee

We provide a lifetime labour guarantee on our workmanship. If our workmanship is found to be defective, we will return and rectify it at no cost to you.
The labour guarantee covers our workmanship only. Parts, fixtures and appliances carry the relevant manufacturer's warranty, which we will pass on to you.
The guarantee does not cover faults caused by misuse, third-party interference, tampering, further deterioration of old pipework or fixtures we did not install, damage from tree roots or ground movement outside our scope, or issues arising from work you declined to have done.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantees or rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law, which apply in addition to our guarantee.

5. Cancellations and rescheduling

You may cancel or reschedule a booking by calling us on 0468 279 958. We appreciate as much notice as possible.
For most jobs there is no cancellation fee. For jobs involving specially ordered parts or materials, you may be responsible for costs already reasonably incurred on your behalf.
If we need to reschedule due to circumstances beyond our control, we will contact you promptly to arrange an alternative time.

6. Access and site conditions

You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the work area.
You are responsible for advising us of any known hazards, concealed services or asbestos-containing materials at the property.
We are not liable for delays caused by inaccurate information, restricted access, or conditions that could not reasonably have been foreseen.

7. Liability

We carry appropriate insurance and perform all work to the required Australian standards.
To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to re-supplying the relevant services or the cost of doing so.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for pre-existing defects, deterioration of ageing infrastructure, or damage that was not caused by our work.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the Australian Consumer Law.

8. Offers and promotions

Advertised offers (including "$99 off when you book online", "$50 off your first job", pensioner and referral discounts, and seasonal offers) apply only to eligible, completed jobs above any stated minimum value.
The $99 online booking discount applies to jobs booked through our online form and completed by us.
Offers cannot be combined with other offers unless we expressly state otherwise.
Discounts are applied to the fixed quote and have no cash value.
We may vary or withdraw any offer at any time. Starred offers are subject to the specific fine print shown with them.

9. Emergency and after-hours work

For emergency and after-hours jobs, any applicable rates will be explained and agreed with you before work begins. Same-day and 24/7 availability is offered on a best-efforts basis and may depend on demand and location. See our emergency plumber page.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always published on this page and applies to jobs booked after it is posted.
